The Importance of Photography – Kansas Child Photographer

Having good photos of your family is, in my opinion, a must. Snapshots are important for the day to day life, unless you can hire a photographer to follow you around 24/7 to preserve your memories! Even though snapshots are important, so are having quality, professional images. Our friends at Baby Photographers write about the importance of professional photography. There are lots of other informative and enlightening articles on the site – click around and check them out!

And because a post with a picture is always better, here’s another of the adorable Miss K from last month……

Like Christmas in June….

The title describes exactly how I felt when I received a package from my friends at Finao, one of the coolest album companies ever! I first checked out their product at WPPI in Vegas, and decided I wanted to order a sample.

Let me tell you, it exceeded my expectations. This album is gorgeous! Check it out!

The first view when you open the recycled box – beautiful ribbon and paper wrapped around the album in a protective layer. Love how everything is recycled!

The black brocade and cream leather cover is just gorgeous…..

A full page spread? No problem! (also one of my favorite images from Ryan & Sara’s wedding!)

Another layout for your viewing pleasure!

Love the thick pages – they really help the album feel substantial.

coming over the weekend…images of Taylor & Lakin’s PhotoBook!  ( I don’t want to put up a preview until they have it in person – that just seems wrong!)

Gadgets are always fun!

When I was at WPPI in Las Vegas earlier this year, I found a vendor that made these cool wooden jump drives. I ordered one to check it out, and I must say it’s pretty cool! In trying to become more green and eco-friendly, the thought of switching to jump drives to provide digital files to clients is an attractive idea. Currently purchased files are provided on a DVD in a gorgeous brocade case, but I like the idea of the re-usability (is that even a word?!) of the jump drive. What do you think? Leave me a comment and let me know!

I think that the jump drive idea is great and alot more portable and a little easier to haul around than a CD. Very cool and edgy also! Your pictures are amazing! I am very excited for this coming weekend – you are teaming with a friend of mine Heather to take our Boudior pics!

Aww thanks Christine! I am very much looking forward to this weekend – can’t wait to meet you all!!!

Guest Sign-In Books Are Cool

So I had a few questions about the Guest Sign-In Book I mentioned in the preview of Bryan & Mollie’s images. Let me tell you, these are about the coolest thing since sliced bread. Not even joking.

Guest Sign-In Books are a great way to get personalized messages from everyone who attends your big day. Instead of the traditional book with pages full of lines for signatures only, these way cool books have blank pages with plenty of space for well-wishers to leave a note for you. Because you choose the images in the book, it becomes an heirloom, an awesome piece of artwork to leave on your coffee table.

How do I get a way cool book, you may ask? It’s quite simple! Everyday You offers an add-on within the Build-Your-Own option to add on an engagement session, sign-in book, and the engagement files on disc with reprint rights. It’s a great addition to your wedding day that you will enjoy for years to come – and not just pack in a box to never see again.

That’s the scoop – let me know if you have any questions! I will be sure to post some pictures of Bryan & Mollie’s book!
